DIMDEX is a Qatari version of the famous Asian exhibition IMDEX Asia, held in Singapore on odd years. The analogue of the IMDEX exhibition in Doha has become a Middle East defense exhibition for the naval forces of the North African and Middle Eastern region (MENA).

The DIMDEX exhibition is supported by the Qatari Emirates Navy (QENF) and will be held under the patronage of the deputy commander of the Qatari Armed Forces, the heir to the throne, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamadal-Thani.

DIMDEX as well as the Singapore event unites the exhibition, conference and visiting warships with official VIP delegations.

DIMDEX is carried out with a periodicity of 2 years for even years in March.
